MVZ Vogelsberg gGmbH

The Medizinische Versorgungszentrum Vogelsberg (MVZ) gGmbH offers modern and patient-centered general medical care at two locations, in Grebenhain and Freiensteinau. As the first intercommunal MVZ in Hesse, it has been participating in contract medical care since 2021.

The MVZ Vogelsberg covers all general medical treatments and examinations, including ECG, long-term ECG, exercise ECG, ultrasound examinations and lung function tests. A special focus is on the care of diabetics. The team consists of experienced general practitioners and medical assistants, some of whom are qualified as non-medical practice assistants or diabetes assistants. On behalf of the doctors, they take over home and nursing home visits as well as patient training.

The MVZ Vogelsberg attaches great importance to humanity, trust, quality and teamwork. These values are reflected in the patient-oriented care, which addresses the individual needs of each individual. The MVZ strives to build a trusting relationship with its patients and to provide them with high-quality medical care.

The MVZ Vogelsberg is interprofessional and cooperative and strives to network with local actors in medicine, care, elderly care and social services. The aim is to provide all population groups with low-threshold and barrier-free access to medical, nursing and social services. In this context, the MVZ cooperates with services of the Vogelsbergkreis, such as the specialist for advice and coordination.

The MVZ Vogelsberg offers its patients various options for making appointments and ordering prescriptions, including an online reception, a digital telephone assistant and video consultations. Since 2024, prescriptions have been issued electronically (eRezept), which offers patients the advantage of receiving repeat prescriptions in the same quarter without visiting the practice.

The MVZ Vogelsberg is also involved in the training and further education of doctors. It is an academic teaching practice of the Philipps Universität Marburg and offers medical students the opportunity to complete a block internship. In addition, the medical director has the authorization for further training for the 24-month further training section in general medicine. The MVZ is a member of the Weiterbildungsverbund Allgemeinmedizin des Vogelsbergkreises and supports efforts to attract young doctors and medical students to work in the Vogelsbergkreis.

The MVZ Vogelsberg also offers vaccination consultation hours to close vaccination gaps that arose during the Corona pandemic. Both existing and new patients are welcome to have their vaccination status checked and, if necessary, catch up on any missing vaccinations.
