The Spohn-Gymnasium Ravensburg in Ravensburg is a modern, municipal humanistic grammar school with a clear focus on a broad-based school education. From grade 5, it offers compulsory English and Latin lessons, and from grade 8, various profile options: a scientific profile with a focus on "Science and Technology" and a linguistic profile with the elective subjects French, Latin, Italian or Greek. In addition, since the 2008/2009 school year, the grammar school has been specifically supporting highly gifted children from the southern Upper Swabia region in a special class.
The school sees itself as a place of holistic development, which, in addition to specialist education, also upholds values such as humanism and cosmopolitanism. The offer includes a wide range of working groups that enable students to expand their interests beyond regular lessons. The Spohn-Gymnasium places particular emphasis on individual support and a lively school community.
Sustainability and responsible action are central guidelines of the Spohn-Gymnasium. This is reflected, among other things, in initiatives that combine environmental protection with practical approaches in everyday school life and promote awareness of sustainable development. In this way, the ecological commitment of teachers and students is supported in order to strengthen future-oriented thinking and action.
As an educational institution with a humanistic tradition, the school is also named after Julius Spohn, an entrepreneur from Ravensburg, and thus represents a connection between regional history and modern education. The Spohn-Gymnasium thus offers a future-oriented learning environment that holistically imparts scientific, cultural and social skills.
This combination of demanding education, individual support for highly gifted students, a broad linguistic and scientific offer and a strong commitment to sustainable development makes the Spohn-Gymnasium an attractive educational address in southern Upper Swabia.
