editThe Oper Frankfurt is one of the most renowned opera houses in Europe and has received several awards for its outstanding artistic achievements, most recently in 2024 as "Opera House of the Year" by Opernwelt magazine.
The diverse program includes approximately 11 premieres and 14 revivals per season, complemented by a wide range of Lieder evenings, chamber and symphony concerts, children's operas and innovative special formats. Thus, the Oper Frankfurt offers a rich program for opera lovers of all ages and tastes.
The internationally staffed ensemble consists of around 40 top-class singers who can be seen regularly in new productions and repertoire performances. The ensemble is complemented by renowned guest artists from all over the world.
The Frankfurter Opern- und Museumsorchester, which was awarded "Orchestra of the Year" by the Opernwelt magazine in 2024, looks back on a long tradition and is regularly conducted by internationally celebrated conductors and the General Music Director. The Choir of the Oper Frankfurt, one of the largest opera choirs in Germany, convinces audiences and critics alike with its outstanding performances and was most recently chosen by the Opernwelt magazine as "Choir of the Year 2024" for its exceptional performance in the 2023/24 season, making it the third time in a row.
The Oper Frankfurt is committed to promoting young talent and offers an opera studio that gives young singers the opportunity to develop and gain stage experience. In addition, there are special programs for children, young people and adults to arouse interest in opera and appeal to a broad audience.
The Oper Frankfurt strives to be an open and welcoming house for all. With formats such as "Oper extra" and "Oper im Dialog", additional access to the world of opera is created and an exchange between artists and the public is promoted.
The Oper Frankfurt offers a diverse program that includes both traditional operas and contemporary works. The house attaches great importance to high artistic quality and innovative productions.
