The Stiftung Medienpädagogik Bayern is a non-profit organization committed to promoting media literacy in Bavaria. It was founded by the Bayerische Landeszentrale für neue Medien (BLM) and has been state-recognized since 2008.
The foundation aims to promote a self-determined, responsible, and critical approach to media among all age groups. It places particular emphasis on supporting children, adolescents, parents, and educators.
The foundation is continuously engaged in the promotion of media literacy, especially in times of increased digitalization. It develops new materials and offers to respond to current challenges such as disinformation and cyberbullying. It also offers language support for parents in multiple languages to promote inclusion.
The foundation continuously adapts its offerings to the needs of the digital world. It cooperates with other organizations to improve the flow of information and provide comprehensive support to parents and teachers. By providing materials in multiple languages, it promotes integration and access to media education information for all population groups.
