The
Die Eltern-Kind-Initiative Villa Kunterbunt e.V. is a family-friendly institution in Haidhausen that has been providing loving and individual care for children aged 1.5 to 6 years since 1996. The children are cared for in two age-appropriate groups: the Wölkchen group (1.5–3.5 years) and the Regenbogen group (3.5–6 years).
Die Villa Kunterbunt places great emphasis on a high staff-to-child ratio and a family-like atmosphere. The premises are invitingly designed and offer the children plenty of space to play and explore. An important aspect is the close link between kindergarten, leisure and family, supported by the central location in the heart of Haidhausen.
The initiative is funded by the state capital Munich and the Free State of Bavaria. The parents are actively involved in the organization and administration of the association, which promotes close cooperation between parents and educators. Regular parents' evenings, development discussions and an annual parent evaluation contribute to quality assurance.
The pedagogical concept of the Villa Kunterbunt is based on the Bavarian Education and Training Plan. The focus is on promoting the children, with emphasis on the development of self-confidence, social skills and creativity. An important aspect is supporting children to perceive and express their feelings in order to grow into self-confident personalities.
Die Villa Kunterbunt offers children a vegetarian and, if possible, low-sugar diet. Lunch is freshly prepared by a caterer.
Die Eltern-Kind-Initiative Villa Kunterbunt e.V. also offers internships and is looking for committed people who enjoy working with children.
