
Data Protection Specialist
Einführung
This is a temporary assignment for the duration of 5 months and 29 days at the OSCE Secretariat in Vienna. The Data Protection Specialist will be responsible for advancing data protection and privacy processes based on the OSCE Personal Data Protection Administrative Instruction No. 2/2022. They will oversee the implementation of data protection and privacy processes, establish and steer a Focal Point network, assess data protection risks, develop procedures for data privacy impact assessments, and provide strategic policy and technical advice on personal data protection matters. The necessary qualifications include a first-level university degree in a related field, a minimum of six years of experience in privacy and data protection, working knowledge of designing and establishing business processes related to data protection, familiarity with privacy and security risk assessment and best practices, and fluency in English. Knowledge of other OSCE languages, certifications in privacy and data protection, and knowledge of risk management industry standards are desirable.
Aufgaben
- Advance data protection and privacy processes based on relevant policies
- Establish and steer an effective Focal Point network
- Assess data protection risks within the organization
- Develop and implement consent management processes
- Review and complete the existing Personal Data Inventory
- Develop procedures to react to possible personal data breaches
- Provide strategic policy and/or technical advice on personal data protection matters
- Co-ordinate a review of an appropriate Retention Schedule for personal sensitive data
- Initiate, design, and deliver training modules on data protection
Vorraussetzungen
- First-level university degree in political science, business administration, law, or international law
- Minimum of six years of experience in privacy and data protection disciplines
- Working knowledge of designing and establishing business processes related to data protection and privacy programs
- Familiarity with privacy and security risk assessment and best practices
- Good drafting, reporting, and presentation skills
- Professional fluency in English
- Ability to integrate a gender perspective in data privacy policies and procedures
- Computer literate with practical experience using Microsoft applications
- Certifications such as CIPP/E/U, and/or CIPM, CIPT is desirable
- Knowledge of relevant risk management industry standards is an asset
