Einführung
The Water, Sanitation and Waste Management department is seeking experienced water experts to lead projects in technology, finance, institutional strengthening, and multi-sector partnerships in developing countries. The ideal candidates will have a track record of catalyzing multi-sectoral leadership, advancing insights and policies in the water sector, and understanding the risks and opportunities for a successful transition to a green economy.
Aufgaben
- Lead and shape projects in technology, finance, institutional strengthening, and multi-sector partnerships in the water sector
- Supervise teams to accomplish project objectives in a timely and cost-effective manner
- Create and sustain strategic collaborations for successful project delivery and stakeholder engagement
- Provide strategic guidance and technical assistance to water sector stakeholders
- Foster innovation in designing and implementing multi-disciplinary approaches in water supply and sanitation
- Establish monitoring and evaluation frameworks for progress tracking and data-driven reports
- Collaborate with GFA HQ in Hamburg for quality control of project deliverables
Voraussetzungen
- Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in relevant fields such as business, economics, or sustainability
- Master's degree in Water Resources Management, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Sustainability, or related field
- Strong understanding of sustainability, global water security agenda, water-energy-food nexus, climate, and circular economy
- Demonstrated leadership in delivering results through large-scale coalitions and stakeholder engagement
- Excellent strategic thinking and program management skills
- Fluency in English, additional languages like French, Spanish, Arabic is an advantage
- Experience in managing remote teams and using online collaboration tools
- Willingness to travel frequently to project sites in developing countries
