Azubiwerk is a non-profit foundation dedicated to providing trainees in Hamburg with more than just affordable housing. True to the motto "More than just affordable housing for trainees," Azubiwerk creates a home and a supportive environment for young people in vocational training.

The foundation operates residential complexes in Wandsbek, Harburg, in the Münzviertel and in Altona, which offer modernly furnished rooms in shared apartments. Each shared apartment has a fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom. The rent includes all additional costs as a flat rate, including furniture, operating and heating costs, electricity, internet and telephone.

Azubiwerk sees itself as a companion and supporter of the trainees on their way to an independent life. Educational specialists are available to help young people with advice and support and offer a wide range of activities and counseling services. These include support in applying for vocational training assistance (BAB), housing benefit or BAföG, advice on challenges in the company and personal problems.

The offer of Azubiwerk also includes leisure activities such as Sunday brunch, cooking evenings, sports, photo, garden and handicraft groups, film and game evenings and celebrations. In addition, educational offers in the areas of household management, financial discipline, self-organization, learning aids as well as art and culture are offered on site.

The foundation works closely with sponsors, politicians, social partners, chambers, associations and companies to further increase the attractiveness of training in Germany. Through cooperation with training companies, Azubiwerk improves the social situation of trainees and enables companies to hire applicants regardless of their place of residence.

Azubiwerk makes an important contribution to creating affordable housing for trainees in Hamburg and supports them in integrating into their new living and working environment and successfully completing their training. The promotion of stability and structure also benefits the success of the training.
