About Caritasverband Bruchsal e.V.

The Caritasverband Bruchsal e.V. is an established welfare association of the Catholic Church, which since its founding in 1945 has been dedicated to serving people in need and promoting a society based on solidarity. With around 700 full-time and 300 volunteer employees, the association is involved in a wide range of social areas.

The Caritasverband Bruchsal offers a variety of assistance and services for different target groups:

Advice: General social advice, debt counseling, pregnancy counseling, senior citizen counseling, youth migration counseling and social psychiatric service.
Children, youth and families: Child and youth work in youth centers, holiday programs, learning support, school social work, youth migration service, support in the transition from school to work, family sponsorships and help for families in emergency situations.
Job seekers: Support in job search, one-euro jobs, applicant workshop, projects for re-entry into the profession and an inclusion department to create jobs for people with disabilities.
Homeless people: Outpatient specialist advice, cafeteria/warming room/day center, living in the Julius Itzel Haus, outpatient assisted living and special offers for young homeless people and women.
People in emergency situations: Advice, lunch table, furniture exchange and clothing containers.
Mentally ill people: Advice, day center, Cafétas, Zeitschrift Blinklicht, assistance in their own living space and the St. Josefshaus.
Seniors: Comprehensive offers such as senior citizen counseling, Caritas Menü Service, social stations with home care and respite care, TagesOasen, assisted living, senior citizen homes and offers for family caregivers.
End-of-life and bereavement support: Support in difficult times.
Tafeln: Operation of Tafelläden to provide needy people with food.
Caritas of the community: Offers that have a direct impact in the communities and are tailored to local needs.
Neighborhood management: Promoting cohesion and quality of life in the districts of Bruchsal and Philippsburg.

The Caritasverband Bruchsal e.V. is oriented towards the Christian values of charity, solidarity and justice. Respect for the dignity of each individual is at the heart of our actions. The aim is to support people in difficult life situations, promote their participation in society and give them a perspective.

Sustainability goals and initiatives:

The Caritasverband Bruchsal is committed to social justice and inclusion. Particular attention is paid to creating jobs for people with disabilities, for example in the inclusion company Culintas GmbH, where people with and without disabilities work together on an equal footing. The association is also committed to combating energy poverty and supports low-income households through a special fund.

Additional Information:

The Caritasverband Bruchsal e.V. is not only a service provider, but also an advocate for people in need. It takes a stand on current political developments and advocates for a modern social policy. Many offers are only made possible through the commitment of numerous volunteers who make an indispensable contribution. The association is the sponsor of the outpatient Ökumenischen Hospizdienstes together with the Diakonie.
