Über Christophorus-Gemeinschaft e.V.

Die Christophorus-Gemeinschaft e.V. is an inclusive community dedicated to the life, work and participation of people with support needs. At various locations, the association offers a wide range of services tailored to the individual needs and abilities of the people it supports.

In the area of Arbeiten (Work), the Christophorus-Gemeinschaft operates workshops for disabled people (WfbM) at two locations. Here, extensive work and support opportunities are offered in areas such as industrial assembly, arts and crafts, housekeeping and agriculture. The aim is to promote participation in working life and in the community. In addition, the vocational training area offers the opportunity to acquire professional skills and prepare for the job market.

The Leben (Life) area includes individual forms of housing such as stationary living in special forms of housing and assistance in one's own living space (AWS). The Christophorus-Gemeinschaft enables people with support needs to be as independent as possible and supports them where necessary. A wide range of leisure and inclusion activities complement the offer and promote social integration.

The Mission of the Christophorus-Gemeinschaft is to create opportunities for participation and promote a life in community. The association sees itself as a committed partner for people with support needs, their families and relatives.

The Werte (Values) of the Christophorus-Gemeinschaft include life satisfaction, development opportunities, social belonging and social integration for people with disabilities. Community building beyond mere working relationships, interest in fellow human beings, development through encounters. Responsible colleagues who trustfully support and shape the overall events in collegial self-administration.

The Christophorus-Gemeinschaft values the Gesunderhaltung der Erde (Preservation of the Earth), appreciation of animals and plants and their inclusion in the overall organism, sustainable management.

The Christophorus-Gemeinschaft maintains social, professional and socio-political contacts in independence and strives for a contemporary examination of current questions and problems. Maintaining contact with relatives and friends and their involvement in the development of the community. Cultivation of spirituality, knowledge of the world and people against the background of anthroposophy.

The Christophorus-Gemeinschaft is a member of various organizations and networks, including the BWKG, Anthropoi Selbsthilfe and the Paritätische Wohlfahrtsverband Baden-Württemberg.
