The DRK Kreisverband Diepholz e.V. is part of a worldwide humanitarian organization and is committed to the district of Diepholz according to the motto "Helping people, shaping society". As part of the German Red Cross (DRK), the district association saves people, helps in emergencies and stands by the poor and needy. In doing so, it monitors international humanitarian law, both locally and globally.

With its more than 1,200 employees and more than 1,000 volunteers, the district association supports the 38 DRK local associations in the district. It bundles the DRK activities at the district level, promotes the exchange of experience and bundles competences.
The DRK Diepholz carries out its tasks independently, voluntarily and neutrally. It stands for the principles of humanity and international humanitarian law.
