The Erich Pommer Institut (EPI), founded in 1998, is a leading provider of professional training in the German and European media landscape and at the same time an independent industry think tank. As a non-profit GmbH and affiliated institute of the Filmuniversität Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF, as well as with the University of Potsdam as a partner, the EPI serves as a central interface between the audiovisual industry, academia, and research.
The mission of the EPI is to support media professionals in their next career steps and to offer programs that meet the current challenges of the media industry and the digital world. A special focus is on promoting women in leadership positions and equality in media and cultural enterprises[1][2][3].
The EPI is committed to sustainable qualifications and better networking of all stakeholders in the media industry. Through cooperation with the Media Collective, a partnership of stakeholders in the moving image industry, targeted training in the Berlin-Brandenburg region and beyond is promoted. These initiatives aim for sustainable qualifications, new educational formats, and improved networking[3].
The Erich Pommer Institut is thus a central player in media education, making a significant contribution to the development and success of the media industry through its diverse offerings and initiatives.
