Das Evangelisch-Lutherische Dekanat Weiden, now part of the Dekanat Cham/Sulzbach-Rosenberg/Weiden, is a vibrant community in the heart of the Upper Palatinate. It comprises 35 parishes and 24 parsonages, which extend over the districts of Bayreuth, Neustadt an der Waldnaab, Tirschenreuth and Schwandorf, as well as the city of Weiden[4].
