Frauen helfen Frauen Kreis Böblingen e.V. has been committed to women, girls and boys affected by physical, psychological or sexualized violence since 1980. The association offers comprehensive support on the path to a violence-free and self-determined life.
The core services include the AMILA (counseling center for domestic violence) and thamar (counseling center against sexualized violence) counseling centers. AMILA advises women, children and relatives affected by partnership violence. thamar supports children, adolescents, young adults and women who have experienced sexualized violence. Both offices offer free, confidential counseling, crisis intervention, stabilization and psychoeducation. If necessary, language mediators are added. thamar also offers data-protected and anonymous online counseling.
A volunteer emergency telephone is available at night, on weekends and public holidays for acute crisis situations and offers initial orientation and support.
The association is also strongly involved in prevention. Through projects for school classes and youth groups, further training for specialists and events in public spaces, girls, boys, young adults, parents and specialists are strengthened and sensitized to the topics of domestic and sexualized violence.
Frauen helfen Frauen Kreis Böblingen e.V. is a non-profit association and a member of the Paritätische Wohlfahrtsverband. The association is financed by grants and donations. Donations finance additional personnel positions, the equipment of the counseling centers, online counseling and prevention work.
The association pursues the goal of expanding assistance for women, children and young people affected by violence, as well as the prevention of violence. Every membership strengthens the voice of the association and supports the concerns and interests of those affected.
