The Freie Landschule der Generationen is a state-approved substitute school and secondary school in independent sponsorship that focuses on self-determined and collaborative learning. As a pioneer in Döbeln, it creates a place of learning where children, young people and adults of all generations work together - under the motto "Learning with each other - from each other - about each other". The school combines traditional education with modern, flexible approaches and emphasizes the values of Freedom, Connection to the Land and Community.

The admission process is inclusive: expressions of interest, taster days, family discussions and engagement with pedagogical building blocks ensure a tailor-made integration. There are currently free places for the 2025/26 school year.

Plans for renovations have been adapted to reduce costs and use resources efficiently - an example of pragmatic sustainability. In the long term, the school aims to expand science rooms to raise young people's awareness of ecological issues. As an association (Freie Landschule e.V.), the community is committed to enriching the school landscape in the greater Döbeln area.
Since its launch in 2022, the school has drawn positive conclusions: plans are coming to fruition, challenges are being mastered. With 70 learning partners, committed parents and a few, but dedicated learning mentors, it is growing steadily. The Freie Landschule der Generationen is more than a school - it is a vibrant space for lifelong learning.
