The offer includes around 8,500 media, including children's and youth books, current novels, non-fiction for adults, magazines, DVDs, audio books, Tonies and kekz chips. In addition, the library provides modern technologies such as robots (BeeBot, Ozobot, SpheroBolt), Calliope, 3D pens, Edurinos, E-Book-Readers and tablets for the Onleihe. The "Onleihe" enables the digital lending of media around the clock.

The library is committed to promoting reading and media literacy, especially among children and young people. Regular events such as reading hours, workshops and exhibitions complement the offer. In cooperation with the VHS, courses and lectures on various topics are offered.

The Gemeindebücherei Heiningen strives to contribute to social participation and lifelong learning. It offers a delivery service for citizens with health restrictions and has abolished the annual fee for children and young people.
