The Hephata Leben gemeinnützige GmbH is a central component of the Evangelische Stiftung Hephata and offers comprehensive services for children, adolescents and adults with disabilities, learning difficulties or in life crises. With over 165 years of tradition since 1859, Hephata stands for diaconal work characterized by charity and a Christian worldview. The services include assistance, housing, education, upbringing, leisure, therapy and care at over 170 addresses in 40 locations in Nordrhein-Westfalen. The wishes of the customers are the focus: Self-determination is promoted by employees listening kindly, looking for solutions together and transferring responsibility.[5][6][7]
In the larger context of the foundation, Hephata Arbeit (formerly workshops) complements the offers through work integration: organic farms, workshops and job coaching bring over 170 people with disabilities into employment and onto the general labor market.[1][2][3]

As part of the Evangelischen Stiftung Hephata with over 2,600 employees, the Diakonische Gemeinschaft is involved. Networks ensure stable cooperation with partners, families and friends - even in the face of challenges.[1][2][7]
Hephata strives for an autonomous system: Own supply of food, electricity and water through organic farms and internal services such as housekeeping, food supply and second-hand sales in Hep-Shops or the "Fundgrube". This creates sustainable structures, integrates vulnerable groups into work and reduces dependencies.[1][9] The renaming to "Hephata Leben" and "Hephata Arbeit" underlines the focus on modern, inclusive future perspectives.[3][4]
Hephata Leben does good work - individually, regionally and for the common good. With more than 5,300 projects and places, the organization supports thousands in shaping their lives.[1][2]
