LifeTeachUs is a non-profit educational organization that brings life skills directly into everyday school life with an innovative digital platform. The vision of LifeTeachUs is to make education more relevant to life, more future-oriented and fairer - by having people from all walks of life and professions pass on their experiences and practical skills to students. These volunteer "LifeTeachers" impart valuable additional knowledge on topics such as finance, career, health, social issues and globalization, enriching lessons beyond the classic curriculum.
The heart of the organization is a digital app that brings schools and LifeTeachers together efficiently and scalably. Schools report their needs - be it due to lesson cancellations, for project work or to supplement lessons - with just one click. The platform then provides suitable qualified LifeTeachers who can flexibly decide whether to accept the request. The placement takes place both on site and digitally, so that schools away from the metropolises can also benefit from the offers.
The mission of LifeTeachUs is to promote educational equity and to enable all students, regardless of their family background, to have access to essential life skills. The organization believes that real encounters with inspiring personalities from the field motivate young people to discover new perspectives and better prepare for life after school. Flexibility is the priority: LifeTeachers can get involved easily and without fixed commitments - every contribution counts and makes a difference.
LifeTeachUs focuses on sustainability and social responsibility. The platform promotes education for sustainable development and supports schools in teaching topics such as the environment, climate protection, global learning and social engagement in a practical way. The organization works in compliance with data protection regulations and ensures that all inquiries and placements are legally compliant and insured.
With over 90 schools and almost 3,000 LifeTeachers in Germany, LifeTeachUs is already on the road to success and would like to become active nationwide in Germany and internationally in the long term. The vision is to transform lesson cancellations into life experience and thus create sustainable added value for students, teachers and society. LifeTeachUs shows that education can be more than knowledge - it can change lives.
