The Universum® Bremen is a lively Science Center with a distinctive experiential character and is one of the most important scientific and cultural institutions in the Hanseatic city. Here, science is made tangible, experienceable and perceptible with all senses for visitors of all ages. Over 300 interactive exhibits invite you to explore and understand scientific phenomena up close. The three central themes "Technique", "Man" and "Nature" form the heart of the permanent exhibition and offer exciting insights into the world of science.
The Universum® Bremen sees itself as a bridge between science and the public. The mission is to impart knowledge, arouse curiosity and promote dialogue between research, school and society. Visitors are actively involved in the discovery process - be it indoors with experiments and Science Shows or outdoors with stations on the topics of water and wind. The 27-meter-high "Turm der Lüfte" (Tower of the Winds) not only offers an impressive view, but also further interactive experiences.
A special highlight is the new children's area "Milchstraße" (Milky Way), which was specially designed for researchers aged three to eight. Here, the little ones can playfully and creatively discover the world of science. The Universum® Bremen is also a recognized extracurricular learning location that works closely with schools and scientific institutions to connect education and research.
The Universum® Bremen focuses on sustainability and innovation. There is a sustainable exhibition and financing concept that ensures the future development of the Science Center. The close cooperation with research institutions and companies is continuously expanded in order to further sharpen the profile as a platform for scientific dialogue. The goal is to establish the Universum® Bremen as a future-oriented place for science communication and education.
