The IVT offers flexible training start and variable financing options to create access for different target groups. The training takes place in closed groups with small learning groups, which enables intensive support. In addition to the core focus on cognitive-behavioral therapy methods, insights into procedures of the so-called "Third Wave" are also provided, including Schema Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and CBASP.[2]
The practical training is carried out regionally, which means that specialist internships and patient treatments take place under supervision in local, recognized treatment facilities.[8]
