The Lebenshilfe Worms is a non-profit association that has been committed to the interests of people with disabilities and mental illnesses since 1964. Its goal is to enable these people to live a self-determined and fulfilling life in the midst of society.
The organization offers a wide range of services for children, adolescents and adults. These include early intervention, an integrative daycare center, school and vocational education, housing in residential homes, shared apartments or their own apartment with outpatient support, leisure activities, a transportation service and an outpatient nursing service. The Tagesförderstätte offers a day-structuring measure for people who cannot or cannot yet be employed on the general labor market.
The Lebenshilfe Worms operates workshops in which people with disabilities can pursue a variety of activities. These include assembly and packaging, metal processing, carpentry, laundry and textile care, floristry and green care, and the preparation of lunch. Gift items and greeting cards are sold in the associated stores. Internships and external jobs are arranged through inclusion management and the "Budget für Arbeit" is supported.
