The Lebenshilfewerk Pinneberg für Menschen mit Behinderung gemeinnützige GmbH is a recognized workshop for people with disabilities according to § 225 SGB IX. Since 1974, the organization has offered school leavers, young people and adults with disabilities a wide range of needs-based vocational training and jobs. People with the most severe and multiple disabilities are supported and encouraged in the day care center.
The focus of the action is the person with their individual skills, potentials and wishes. The goal is to enable people with disabilities to participate in working life and to enable them to live an equal and self-determined life in society.

The Lebenshilfewerk Pinneberg works non-profit and is not profit-oriented. It serves social tasks and strives to contribute to the inclusion and participation of people with disabilities. The organization is a subsidiary of the Stiftung Lebenshilfe Südholstein, as is the Lebenshilfe für Menschen mit Behinderung im Kreis Pinneberg gemeinnützige GmbH.
The Lebenshilfewerk Pinneberg values cohesion in diversity, which is reflected in daily actions. The organization also offers opportunities for voluntary services (BFD) in various age groups.
The workshop newspaper, "Die Werkstattspatzen", which is published four times a year by an editorial team, offers insights into life and work at the Lebenshilfewerk.
