LiMO e.V.

Lernvielfalt in Märkisch-Oderland e.V. (LiMO e.V.) is a non-profit association dedicated to expanding the educational landscape in Märkisch-Oderland. The association operates the Freie Natur-Kita Müncheberg (since 2021) and the Freie Schule Müncheberg (since 2023) and also offers a daycare center.

The association pursues a vision of education and society in which a change in the educational landscape forms the basis for a more humane and sustainable society. LiMO e.V. would like to accompany people on an educational path on which their self-confidence and trust in themselves and the world can develop freely.

The Freie Schule Müncheberg is a primary school with a daycare center that is to be gradually expanded into a community school. Everyday school life is determined by assemblies and self-managing teams of students, employees and parents. Rules and structures are created together and remain changeable.

The learning concept relies on mixed-age learning groups in which students organize their learning processes themselves. Teachers see themselves as experts for open questions and connections and accompany the students in their learning methods. Equality, respect, freedom, responsibility, trust, transparency, inclusion and cosmopolitanism are central values of the school.

LiMO e.V. depends on the support of committed people. There are various ways to support the association, e.g. through direct loans, sponsoring memberships or donations. The association is also constantly looking for teachers, educators and other supporters.

The association attaches importance to the transparent and sustainable use of financial resources. Direct loans enable a low-interest financing basis and are used for the purchase or lease of suitable land, the renovation or new construction of the school building and for running costs.

LiMO e.V. strives to create a free space that largely enables students to organize themselves and promotes education in the self-responsibility of all those involved - whether children, young people or adults.
