About Ökumenische Sozialstation

The Ökumenische Sozialstation is an outpatient care service that has been professionally caring for, supporting and assisting people in need of help in their home environment for over 45 years. Founded and supported by church congregations and local nursing associations, the Sozialstation is a strong team of over 110 qualified employees who are committed to Christian charity. The extensive range of services includes:

Basic care: Assistance with personal hygiene, oral hygiene, dental care, preventive measures (skin care, pressure ulcers) and more.
Treatment care: Medical care according to medical prescription, such as injections, dressing changes, wound care, medication administration and putting on and taking off compression stockings.
Special nursing care: Pain therapy, modern wound management, port care and parenteral nutrition.
Respite care: Hourly support to allow family caregivers to take breaks.
Care and relief services: Individual care at home or in a group (day care), relief services at home, services to maintain social contacts and round-the-clock care in cooperation with partners.
Hospice: Care and support for the seriously ill and dying, as well as their relatives.
Housekeeping support: Help with household chores, meal preparation and laundry care.
Qualified advice: On the need for care, long-term care insurance, financing and special problems such as incontinence.
Further assistance: Arranging emergency calls and meals on wheels.
