Platane 19 gGmbH is a non-profit company based in Berlin that has been dedicated to outpatient psychiatric care and social participation of people with mental illnesses, addictions and life crises for over 45 years. As part of the community psychiatric regional mandatory care in the district of Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf, Platane 19 offers a differentiated range of services to promote the inclusion and participation of those affected.

The range of services offered by Platane 19 is diverse and includes:

Tageszentrum Charlottenburg: Offers a day center and a psychosocial contact and advice center ("Treffpunkt Charlottenburg") for people with mental problems and illnesses. Here they receive advice, support and assistance with their daily routine and the opportunity to make contacts.
Help for people with addiction: Comprehensive offers for the support and care of people with addiction.
Assisted living: Outpatient, psychosocial support in their own apartments or therapeutic shared apartments to enable independent living.
Berliner Krisendienst – Region West: Acute care and crisis intervention for people in psychological emergencies.

Secondhand-Läden: Operates several second-hand stores (clothing, books, furniture, household goods, children's items) and an upcycling store, which not only offer affordable shopping opportunities, but also create jobs as part of psychiatric additional earnings.
Garten- und Landschaftspflege: Offers services in the field of gardening and landscaping and integrates people with mental illnesses into the work process.
Buchprojekt: Operates an online bookstore (Platane 19 Booklookershop) with used books.
Industrielle Fertigung, Montage, Versand: Offers services in this area and creates jobs for people with mental illnesses.

Mission and Values:

Platane 19 aims to support people in crises as well as people with mental illnesses and addictions with a wide range of advice and care services and to promote their inclusion in society and their opportunities for participation. A social psychiatric orientation forms the common basis of the work. Acceptance and appreciation of the client, their life story and their previous attempts at solutions are necessary prerequisites for building and shaping a sustainable relationship. In its daily care work, Platane 19 would like to contribute to improving or at least maintaining the quality of life of the people it cares for.

Sustainability and social responsibility:

Platane 19 is committed to sustainability and social responsibility. This is reflected in the second-hand and upcycling stores, which contribute to the conservation of resources and at the same time create jobs for people with mental illnesses. By reusing used goods, a stand is taken against the throwaway society and environmentally friendly consumption is promoted.

Platane 19 is actively involved in shaping social life in the Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf district.
