The St. Dominikus Stiftung Speyer is a non-profit foundation dedicated to comprehensive service to people, continuing in particular the tradition of the Dominican religious community of the Institut St. Dominikus Speyer. It unites various sponsoring organizations under its umbrella, including St. Dominikus Krankenhaus und Jugendhilfe gGmbH and Gemeinnützige St. Dominikus Schulen GmbH. Together, they operate a broad network of facilities that includes hospitals, schools, children's and youth homes, and hospices. More than 1,500 employees are involved in twelve different locations in Speyer, Landstuhl, St. Ingbert, Ludwigshafen am Rhein and Silz near Landau.
The core mission of the foundation is formulated in the mission statement "Our Commitment - the Human Being". The focus is on the holistic support of various phases and situations in life: from early childhood education and upbringing to the support of disadvantaged children and young people, to medical care, nursing, hospice and palliative care. The values of the Christian-Dominican order - such as compassion, care and solidarity - shape the daily actions and orientation of all facilities.
The foundation was created as a response to the demographic change within the religious community, whose members withdrew for reasons of age, and thus sustainably secures the future of the order's own social and medical services. Its facilities are therefore not only bearers of social responsibility, but also a reliable partner for patients, families and students.
Sustainability and social responsibility are also reflected in the promotion of integrative offers, the promotion of educational opportunities regardless of social origin, and the support of vulnerable groups such as sick, elderly or dying people. Through outpatient and inpatient hospice work, the foundation also sets a special example for dignity in the final phase of life.

The St. Dominikus Stiftung Speyer thus stands for an integrative, value-oriented and future-oriented sponsorship, which is holistically dedicated to the promotion of health, education and social participation and thereby ensures the sustainable safeguarding of its diverse tasks.
