The Stiftung Lebenshilfe Südholstein, founded in 2008 by the Lebenshilfe local associations, is a non-profit foundation under civil law based in Elmshorn. Its central concern is the promotion of the right of people with disabilities to an equal life in society. The foundation pursues exclusively non-profit and charitable purposes.
The foundation selflessly supports children, adolescents and adults with disabilities. Another focus is the promotion of civic engagement for charitable purposes. This is mainly done through the collection of donations, legacies and other contributions. These funds primarily benefit the two non-profit Lebenshilfe companies "Lebenshilfe für Menschen mit Behinderung im Kreis Pinneberg" and the "Lebenshilfewerk Pinneberg für Menschen mit Behinderung".
The Stiftung Lebenshilfe Südholstein attaches great importance to transparency and the timely use of donations in accordance with the foundation's purpose. Endowments flow directly into the foundation's assets and increase the foundation's capital, the proceeds of which are used sustainably to achieve the foundation's goals.
The foundation is aware of its responsibility in the area of data protection and has taken technical and organizational measures to protect personal data from loss, destruction, manipulation and unauthorized access. It complies with the provisions of the European GENERAL DATA PROTECTION REGULATION (EU-DSGVO) and the Bundesdatenschutzgesetz (BDSG).
The Stiftung Lebenshilfe Südholstein strives to make an important contribution to the inclusion and participation of people with disabilities in Südholstein through its work.
