Terre des Hommes

Terre des Hommes Deutschland e.V. is an international children's rights organization that has been advocating for the rights and well-being of children and young people since 1967. Our name, "Terre des Hommes," means "Earth of Humanity" and reflects our vision of a world where all children are protected and their rights are respected.

• Humanitarian Aid and Project Work: We promote around 400 projects in 47 countries aimed at improving the living conditions of children, protecting them from violence and exploitation, and enforcing their rights[3][5].
• Partnership Collaboration: We work closely with local partner organizations, the international youth network, and volunteer members to create a livable future for children[3][4].
• Education and Empowerment: Our programs focus on the health of children and mothers, the migration of children and young people, and access to justice. We support children in expressing their needs and interests and promote their active participation in their community[5].

Our mission is to protect the lives of children and their rights and to promote their well-being. We are independent of governments, businesses, religious communities, and political parties and pursue a partnership-based, participatory, and sustainable approach.
