Verkehrsopferhilfe e.V. (VOH)

Verkehrsopferhilfe e.V. (VOH) is an institution of German motor liability insurers dedicated to the protection and support of traffic victims. As a guarantee fund, VOH provides assistance in the event of accidents in Germany, especially if these were caused by unidentified or uninsured vehicles, if a vehicle was intentionally used as a "weapon," or if the responsible motor liability insurer is insolvent.

In addition, VOH acts as a compensation body for traffic victims in the event of accidents abroad, based on the 4th KH-EG Directive. The aim is to help injured parties across borders to obtain their rights.

VOH does not handle claims processing itself, but commissions either motor liability insurers licensed in Germany or claims settlement offices in their sub-authorization. This ensures professional and efficient handling of claims.
