The Verkehrsverbund Oberelbe (VVO) is the mobility portal for Dresden and the region. Together with 12 cooperating transport companies, the VVO offers modern local transport for residents and guests on an area of around 4,800 km², which, in addition to the state capital Dresden, includes the districts of Meißen, Sächsische Schweiz-Osterzgebirge and the western part of the district of Bautzen.
With buses, trams, local trains and ferries, the transport companies carry over 219 million passengers annually on over 300 lines between around 3,800 stops. The VVO improves connections between bus and train, ensures a uniform tariff system, understandable information and customer-friendly service.

The VVO continuously improves the infrastructure, modernizes stops and train stations and sees itself as a mediator between passengers, transport companies and politics.
The VVO offers a variety of tickets, including day tickets, the Deutschlandticket, the FerienTicket Sachsen, single journeys, 4-trip tickets, short-distance tickets, weekly, monthly and subscription monthly tickets as well as the BildungsTicket.
For groups of 20 or more, the VVO offers group registration to facilitate planning for transport companies. The SchülergruppenTicket is available for children's and school groups.
The VVO relies on modern technologies and offers timetable information and ticket purchase via mobile apps and online platforms.
