The Werkgemeinschaft Martinshof gemeinnützige GmbH was founded in 2009 to offer post-school perspectives to young people with disabilities. The goal is to create development opportunities in the areas of support and care, vocational training and the workplace through networking and cooperation with other institutions. The active involvement of parents and cooperation partners is of great importance.

The Werkgemeinschaft Martinshof is committed to the right to vocational self-determination for young people with disabilities. This is realized through various projects, including the Arche-Hof in Heidelberg and the Kohler-Haus in Mannheim-Wallstadt.

The Arche-Hof, an inclusion project in cooperation with the Freie Waldorfschule Heidelberg, offers participants the opportunity to be active in the areas of organic farming and animal care, gardening and landscaping, forestry activities, creative crafts and housekeeping. A special focus is on the preservation of biological diversity and integration into everyday school life.

The Kohler-Haus in Mannheim-Wallstadt offers a support and care group for young people with high assistance needs in cooperation with the Spastikerverein Mannheim. Meaningful activities such as woodworking, gardening, tailoring, cooking together and artistic activities are offered here. An important aspect is the placement of company internships to give participants insights into the world of work.

Another project is the Mühlenhof in Schriesheim, which, in cooperation with the Evangelische Stadtmission Heidelberg, combines a reintegration project for homeless people with vocational training for young people with disabilities. Training is offered here in the areas of organic farming and animal care, horticulture, creative crafts and housekeeping.

The Werkgemeinschaft Martinshof is based on an anthroposophical image of humanity and the social therapy developed from it. The focus is on the individual support of each individual in order to develop their personality and enable active participation in social life.

Sustainability is an important value. The Werkgemeinschaft Martinshof values ​​a careful approach to human labor, natural resources and financial resources. It strives to network with initiatives, associations and companies that combine their effectiveness with human-ethical, social and ecological future impulses.
