Reporting directly to the CEO and leading approximately 70 employees across multiple locations (Hamburg, Bremen, Lübeck, and Dresden) in five teams., Managing external service providers in Portugal, Poland, and Albania., Taking on a holistic leadership role, contributing both technical expertise and commercial acumen., Responsibility for the overall architecture of software solutions, encompassing both frontend and backend., Ensuring that development for project and product developments is implemented cost-, time-, and quality-effectively., Close collaboration with the management team, particularly consulting with sales on technical feasibility and resource requirements in bid processes., Close collaboration with product management to shape the further development of the solution portfolio, ensuring optimal alignment of technical architecture, roadmaps, and development priorities., Driving the transformation process of the solution portfolio towards the phased introduction of a multi-tenant, service-oriented architecture based on Java and PHP services., Driving the phased integration of AI technologies into software solutions and development processes, ensuring targeted utilization of technological opportunities, strengthening competitiveness, and enabling employees to confidently apply modern AI-supported methods., Continuously optimizing the (agile) software development process., Utilizing teams at three nearshoring locations as flexible resource pools and managing their capacities to efficiently handle project peaks and additional development needs., Continuously monitoring technological and market developments and deriving strategically sensible adjustments to organizational and team structures to ensure a long-term scalable and high-performing development organization., Supporting the qualification and further development of employees and creating space for innovation., Fostering a positive culture to attract and select top talent.
