ISR is an IB World School authorized to offer the IB Diploma Programme,

IGCSE courses. The school is a certified member of the Council of

International Schools (CIS).

ISR is seeking a passionate, dedicated and creative Drama Teacher (m/f/d) to join our school. The successful applicant will inspire students to explore creativity, collaboration, and self-expression through theatre and performance. The Drama Teacher will be expected to create and deliver engaging lessons that captivate students' interest, support student productions and contribute to the wider culture of the school.

The role involves teaching Drama across secondary school levels and supporting co-curricular performing arts activities in a diverse international learning environment.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging Drama lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum (e.g., IGCSE, High School Diploma (HSD), or equivalent).
Develop students’ creativity, confidence, and communication through practical drama activities.
Assess student performance and maintain accurate records of progress and achievement.
Direct and coordinate school plays, productions, and performance showcases, where appropriate.
Organise drama clubs, workshops, and extracurricular performing arts activities.
Contribute to interdisciplinary projects that integrate drama into other subjects.
Participate in school events, assemblies, and cultural programmes.
Maintain a safe, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment.
Uphold school safeguarding policies and contribute to the school’s mission and values.

Qualifications and Experience:

Essential

Bachelor’s degree in Drama, Theatre Arts, Performing Arts, or a related field.
Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
At least 2–3 years of teaching experience, preferably in an international school.
Strong knowledge of drama pedagogy and theatre production techniques.
Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills.

Desirable

Practical experience in theatre performance, directing, or stage production.
Experience working in multicultural or international educational environments.
Ability to lead extracurricular performing arts programmes or drama clubs.
