In the case of an appointment to a W2 professorship, the appointment is initially limited to five years; following appointment, a target agreement will be formulated. In case of a positive evaluation in the final year, the candidate will be promoted to a permanent W3 professorship. The tenure evaluations are regulated in the statutes for quality assurance of professorships with tenure track (TT). W2 tenure-track professorships are firmly established at Bielefeld University as an appointment option. Tenure track professors are offered a targeted personnel development programme that provides support during the arrival phase and the preparation of the tenure evaluation.
Applications from suitable severely impaired and equal disabled persons are explicitly welcome.
