Der Kinderschutzbund Bonn e.V. has been the strong voice for children, adolescents and families in Bonn since 1954. As a non-profit and independent association, we actively advocate for the rights of children and promote their growing up in a non-violent environment. We are a recognized independent youth welfare organization and are committed in many ways to sustainably improving the living situation of children and young people in our society.

Our Mission:

We are committed to ensuring that children and young people can grow up without violence, know their rights and that these are fully implemented in Germany. We support them in their development into strong, self-confident personalities. We focus on the well-being of children in our work and involve children and young people in decisions in an age-appropriate manner.

Our Offers and Services:

Der Kinderschutzbund Bonn offers a wide range of support and advice services for children, young people and parents. These include:

Help and Advice: We are the contact person for small and big worries, problems and fears. Our children's, youth and parent telephone offers anonymous and free advice. The family telephone is a first point of contact for problems of all kinds.
Parent Courses: "Starke Eltern – Starke Kinder" is our parent course offer for all those who want to cope with everyday family life more calmly.
Parent-Child Offers: "Du und Ich – zusammen" is a supportive offer for parents with small children who want support in everyday life. The parent-child meeting in Dransdorf offers a preventive offer for families with children from 0-3 years.
Homework Help: We support children from 1st to 8th grade individually with their homework.
Supervised Contact: We enable contact between children and parents after separation or divorce in a safe and protected environment.
Mentoring: Volunteer mentors support families in temporary stressful situations in everyday life.
Familiäre Bereitschaftsbetreuung (FBB): We offer children a temporary accommodation option in an FBB family.
Netzwerk Kinderschutz Bonn: We coordinate the Kinderschutz network of the city of Bonn to ensure effective and rapid cooperation in the event of child endangerment.
Netzwerk Kindertagespflege Bonn: We are responsible for specialist advice in daycare.

Our Values:

We work appreciatively and transparently with all people and see them as experts in their respective life situations. We are biased towards children and young people and appreciate diverse lifestyles and cultures. We reject all opinions, statements and actions that violate children's rights or the well-being of children. We are politically independent and non-denominational.

Our Team:

Our team consists of 28 full-time employees and around 110 volunteer supporters who are committed to children and families with a lot of commitment and passion. We attach great importance to the qualification of our employees and offer regular training courses and supervisions.

We are committed to the implementation of children's rights, the fight against child poverty and the protection of the environment.
