About Gabriel Hamburg gGmbH

The Gabriel Hamburg gGmbH has been committed to the concerns of people with disabilities, people at risk of disability and socially disadvantaged people in Hamburg for many years. As a subsidiary of the Stiftung Gabriel, which emerged from a parent initiative, the gGmbH is committed to the goal of securing and improving life prospects for people with disabilities.

The gGmbH offers a diverse range of services that are tailored to the individual needs and wishes of the people it supports. These include:

Wohnen: Ambulatory supported living communities in which people with disabilities live in their own apartments and can act independently within the scope of their possibilities.
Ambulante Betreuung: Support in one's own living space, living assistance and help for families with disabled children.
Tagesförderstätte: Two locations that offer people with severe and multiple disabilities the opportunity to carry out meaningful and value-adding activities.

The main mission of the Gabriel Hamburg gGmbH is to support people with disabilities in optimally shaping their individual lives and freely developing their personality. The gGmbH is based on the principles of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and is committed to equal participation in social life.

The values of the gGmbH are based on a Christian-humanistic image of humanity, which is characterized by charity, tolerance and mutual appreciation. The gGmbH treats every person with reverence and respect and assumes that the human personality can develop throughout life.

The gGmbH attaches great importance to cooperation with parents and relatives of the people it supports. Regular parents' evenings, discussion groups and further training for relatives are just as much a part of the offer as a transparent exchange of information.
