Develop and implement a communication and campaigns strategy for Germany based on the wider team strategy for Europe., Lead the German desk work, alongside leading one of our team’s wider strategic objectives for Europe, setting clear goals and measuring impact., Build and maintain relationships with key partners in Germany and Europe, ranging from NGOs and academics to businesses, and offer strategic advice that supports campaign objectives., Build a diverse spokesperson network in Germany and Europe, identifying partners and leaders to help progress our strategic objectives; commission research and analysis to support this., Management of a small budget, under the supervision of your line manager, Develop and maintain trusted relationships with key journalists and editors across mainstream and specialist media in Germany, as well as select journalists in the EU/Brussels space. Some pitching in English required to EU/Brussels media as relevant to your strategy., Deliver newsworthy, high quality communications interventions (press releases, quotes, op-eds, social media content, voices for broadcast media) in line with our strategic objectives. Monitor and evaluate the impact and outcomes of work., Pitch stories to German media that support our overall team strategy, using timely, targeted messaging tailored to resonate with local audiences., Make judgement calls on how and when interventions should be made in order to influence the public or political debate and advance our strategic objectives., Closely follow the political and media debates in Germany and Europe more widely as relevant to your strategy to proactively identify opportunities for communications interventions., Act as a source of intelligence for colleagues and partners., Any other duties to be assigned from time to time.
