Support planning, coordination, and reporting of software development tasks; contribute to publication and presentation of project results, Contribute to the C++/Python development of state-of-the-art methodologies, concepts, and software components for in-house developments like the Medical Imaging Interaction Toolkit (MITK, mitk.org), Work with diverse medical data modalities, including radiological images, and clinical data, as well as AI-derived models, Provide consultation to research groups across Helmholtz on software engineering practices, including project setup, architecture, testing, continuous integration and delivery, and sustainable software development workflows, Advise on open-source licensing, governance, community building, and publication of research software, including use of Helmholtz and HIFIS tooling (e.g., Helmholtz Codebase, Research Software Directory), Collaborate with researchers to analyze requirements, design suitable software and data workflows, and support the implementation of modern, needs-oriented software engineering strategies, Contribute to the development and improvement of Helmholtz-wide research software consulting services, including processes, outcome tracking, guidelines, training materials, and best practices, Participate in national and international consortia and networks related to research software engineering and represent our work in working groups, workshops, and conferences, Support education and training activities in research software engineering (courses, workshops, consulting clinics)
