Fundamental research in atomic magnetometry: You will explore and develop advanced techniques for optically pumped magnetometers, contributing to fundamental studies in quantum sensing., Sensor development and lab-based experimentation: You will take part in the design, construction, and optimization of working magnetometer and gradiometer systems. This includes hands-on lab work with vapor cells, optics and lasers, development of electronics, data acquisition systems, signal processing, and data analysis., Airborne deployment and field application: You will support the integration of the sensor into a drone platform, ensuring robust operation in real-world conditions. This part of the work includes engineering adaptation, collaboration with external partners, and active participation in field deployments, where the sensor will be used for geoprospection and the detection of unexploded ordnance., Teaching and student supervision: You will engage in teaching activities and contribute to the supervision and mentoring of undergraduate or Master's students involved in the project.
