To cover the parental leave of one of our colleagues we are looking for an Expert Finance - Accounting (all genders) to join our Finance team in our Berlin office. The role is a fixed-term position through September 2027

In your role you will:

Own end-to-end Accounts Payable (AP) operations, including invoice processing, payment runs, bank portals, digital mailroom management, and AP reporting.
Manage month-end closing activities, including fixed asset and lease accounting (IFRS 16), accruals, and intercompany invoicing and reconciliations.
Prepare and execute bi-weekly payment runs while ensuring accurate payment booking, cash flow management, and recurring transaction oversight.
Handle specialized accounting topics such as Equity Bridge Loans (EBL), Supply Chain Financing, and legacy accounting matters, ensuring financial compliance.
Serve as the main contact for external auditors, supporting audits through AP reconciliations, confirmation letters, and accounting documentation.

Requirements

Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Auditing, or a related field with a focus on financial accounting.
3–5 years of experience in financial accounting, with strong expertise in Accounts Payable, General Ledger, cash management, and month-end/year-end closing processes.
Solid knowledge of IFRS (particularly IFRS 16), German GAAP (HGB/GoBD), and accounting for fixed assets, leases, and accruals.
