Overview

As Procurement Manager – Cables (m/f/d), you will play a key role in shaping our supply chain and optimising our product cost structure.

You will be responsible for developing and implementing sourcing strategies, as well as the strategic management of national and international suppliers, with a focus on cost, quality and security of supply.

Working closely with project management, engineering, construction, logistics and other cross-functional teams, you will ensure the successful delivery of our projects and make a significant contribution to the company’s competitiveness and long-term success. As Lead Buyer, you will also act as the key point of contact for all procurement-related matters within selected projects.

Your mission

Strategic procurement of cables and cable components for national and international projects
Development and implementation of commodity and sourcing strategies for the cable product group
Selection, evaluation and ongoing development of national and international manufacturers and supplier partners
Negotiation and management of framework agreements and terms and conditions, with a focus on quality, costs, delivery performance, technical compliance and security of supply
Conducting market, cost and benchmark analyses for cables and cable systems, focusing on price trends, availability, lead times, risks and technical requirements
Close collaboration with Engineering, Project Management, Construction, Quality Management and Logistics to ensure project-specific requirements are met.
Identifying and implementing opportunities for cost optimisation, standardisation and improvement within the product group
Analysing and preparing procurement metrics, supplier evaluations and decision-making criteria for project- and product-group-specific procurement decisions
