The Group of Artificial Intelligence is looking for a Scientific Assistant (f/m/d) Junior Helmholtz.AI Consultant.

Your tasks

Design, Test, Training, Evaluation/Benchmarking and Use
of computer vision-based AI systems
of tabular-data based AI systems
Presentation and Communication of Results at international conferences and in peer-reviewed journals
Developing Methods for Explaining AI-Based Predictions

Your profile

Completed university studies (Bachelor/Master/Diploma) in Computer Sciences, in the field of Natural Sciences, or related fields
Experience and knowledge
in supervised learning computer vision architectures (Unet, StarDist, Cellpose, CPN, nnUnet, SAM, Dino, Yolo)
in machine learning benchmarking and evaluation metrics
in tabular machine learning (scikit-learn, xgboost)
in reproducible scientific programming and data science
in FAIR data management
in use of HPC resources
with methods of explainability of computer vision models
A self-organized, creative approach to work, as well as a communicative, tolerant, and resilient personality with a strong sense of curiosity
Fluent English proficiency, German proficiency considered beneficial
