Are you ready to support young families with a good, healthy and happy start to their family life? We are looking for a committed baby navigator who will provide parents and their newly born babies with advice and support and guide burdened families to adequate offers of help as a bridge builder, so to speak, and would like to be part of a committed team.

The Helios St. Anna Clinic Duisburg offers you a temporary part-time position of 20 hours/week as a social worker, remedial teacher or family, health and paediatric nurse (m/f/d) for your assignment in the Duisburg maternity clinics as soon as possible.

What to expect

Advice for parents in obstetrics around the time of birth and determination of suitable support needs and offers of help – if necessary, transfer of families to the appropriate help system
Close cooperation in a multidisciplinary team (social workers, remedial teachers, pediatricians, psychologists, nursing staff, midwives (m/f/d))
Interdisciplinary cooperation with the local Social Paediatric Centre, the Interdisciplinary Early Intervention Centre and the Early Intervention Duisburg
Networking with other institutions as well as targeted and systematic induction
A competent, collegial team and flat hierarchies as well as an appreciative working atmosphere
A varied and responsible workplace with creative freedom
Internal and external training and development opportunities as well as internal supervision

What you bring to the table

A degree in social pedagogy/social work or curative education, a completed training as a state-recognized special education teacher (m/f/d) or a comparable degree, or a completed further training as a family, health and paediatric nurse or midwife (m/f/d)
Enthusiasm for working with families
Sense of responsibility, commitment and reliability
Communication and consulting skills and possibly also consulting experience
Professional experience in working with children and their families, especially in challenging life situations (e.g. socially stressed families, mental illnesses of a parent) would be an advantage
